About
What is Web-Empowered Church
The Web-Empowered Church (WEC) is a movement among God's people in churches around the world to partner together to help take the Church to the next step in applying Internet technology to ministry. The WEC is developing powerful web-based ministry-enhancing tools that churches can freely use on their websites. You can learn more about the WEC ministry by going to the WEC User website About pages.
How Can You Participate?
WEC is in need of unpaid servants (both organizations and individuals) who share our passion for the WEC mission and are able to provide time and resources to help. Here are some WEC needs:
- Assisting churches and ministries in moving to WEC (we call these people "WEC Circuit Riders")
- Establishing WEC user groups
- Testing new WEC software
- Writing and reviewing documents
- Creating and evaluating online training
- Developing new templates
- Developing, and enhancing ministry extensions
- Integrating other open source software into TYPO3
- Helping advertise WEC
- Praying for WEC on a regular basis
If you are committed to help develop WEC software, documentation, or training, we ask that you agree to the WEC Covenant Agreement for Individuals or for Organizations. Please print and sign the agreement and mail it to:
