Subject: Calendar Base
Jeff,

I'm having some trouble with the Calendar extension. One issue is that I'm trying to make it editable from the frontend. The simple explanation is that I want the feuser group # 9 to be and admin and make any changes. I looked at the static/ts/setup.txt file and tried putting some optons in my template setup, but it didn't seem to work.

Issue number 2 is that I can't seem to get the recurring events to show up. The initial event is there, but the recurrence is not working. I set up the event to be a weekly occurrence and put su for the day, and 'all' for the month-days and months. interval is 1 and I set the count to 255. I am on version 0.13.1.

I feel like its something really stupid, but if you could help me out, that would be great.

Thanks,
Randy

Never mind... got it figured out. The FE editing, I had the syntax wrong. As for the recurring events, I found a message in the newsgroup that had the solution (code change).

Hey Randy,
Glad you tracked that down. There will be an updated release very soon with that bug fixed, but the patch you found should work in the mean time.

Thanks,
Jeff

Ok. Somehow I broke it again. I have the green + next to the dates, but when I click on them, It doesn't do anything. I can successfully click on the Calendar administration link, but anytime I try to create something now, it just takes me to the month view.

What did I do?

Thanks,
Randy

My problem seems to be changing.... maybe I'm just messing with it too much. I finally get to the form where I can put in an event on the front-end, but when I click save, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: 0compare() in /home/jaxgeorg/public_html/typo3conf/ext/cal/service/class.tx_cal_event_service.php on line 1034

This looks like the same module that I changed before to get the recurrence to work. Perhaps this is also part of the new update that you say will be available soon.

I think what brought this error message about was I tried to change the PID where it stores the FE created events.

At least I can add events on the back-end for now.

Yeah.. I'm spending too much time on this... I've found that when I add events on the front-end, it does not save the category field. That is what is giving me the error. Also, it is not saving my recurrence frequency. Once I go into the back-end and update these fields, it seems to be working correctly.

Hi!

It also took me lots of time to get the FE-editing to work - finaly I almost made it...

I have the same problems concerning the category-issue but the error message is different:
"invalied argument supplied for foreach() in ...typo3confextcalviewclass.tx_cal_confirm_event_view.php line 88".

If anyone finds a solution it would be great if you could post it here!

thanks, Alex

Sorry I didn't update this... but I had been IM'ing Jeff concerning some of the issues. He indicated that there should be a new update soon. I think the issue with the categories has to do with an IE java compatibility problem. If you use firefox, that part seems to work ok. There were still a few issues that Jeff has since reported, and hopefully those will make it in to the new update.

Thank you for your quick answer!
But no - I am using firefox. Anyway - I'll wait for the update and see what changes then.
