Subject: Having problems installing
Hi all,

I'm having problems installing typo 4.3.0.
The following errors keep showing up:

-= File Permissions Test =-
Minimum write permissions N/A Failed
Could not create a temporary test folder; please check directory permissions.
Symlinks Problem Failed
Symlinks couldn't be created.

-= Apache Web Server Test =-
Rewrite URLs Failed Failed
Rewriting URLs failed.


RewriteEngine is on in the Apache config and I have the following permissions and symlinks:

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tom,
Are you getting errors when you actually try to access TYPO3 or just from the server checker? It might just be that the server checker isn't reporting things correctly.

It's what the server check reported.
So... it shouldn't affect the CMS itself? At first sight it doesn't. But you can never be too sure.

Tom,
If there's one part of the server check where the results aren't always to be trusted, its the file permissions test. I'd say you can safely ignore this message as long as everything seems to be working correctly for you.
