I am very new to TYPO3, however, WEC_TYPO3 makes my job much easier, especially I don't have to download, install and configure bunches of other extension and templates. So at least to a beginner, it is not a bad starting...
But I hv got two issues need to clarify
1. Where can I download "WEC starter package" with TYPO3 < 4.2 (preferrably 4.1.6), as 4.2 version needs PHP >5.1 support
2. regard to realurl, after reading below 2 posts, I come out with 2 sub-questions to ask
Turning off RealUrl:

Sorry, my problem is:
1.) I have to delete or rename .htaccess file, in order to start installation and using WEC_TYPO3, otherwise the web-brower would turn out "Internal Server Error".
2.) After installation, login, reset password, then edit site constants (site name, site url, email, etc), I go to frontend, everything looks OK, but whichever url or menu I click, it shows "File not Found",unless I give page id at end of url. After I knew about configure of RealUrl, I followed above post_1, set "config.tx_realurl_enable = 1" to 0, FrontEnd links are working. Of course,I should be happy with it, but what exact function of RealUrl? according to the its name "RealUrl", set "1" should enable it, so that people can see the real url (with ids) on brower, but it seems work in opposite (My understanding merely). No matter opposite or not opposite, How can I configure, so that Web browers won't show real url ids, but with all links on FrontEnd working ?
