Language Translation

Translation from English to many other languages is an important part of web empowering churches around the world. Perhaps you are not even a programmer, but God has given you gifts in language. If so, you may want to join a vital part of the WEC movement by helping with translation. If you are gifted at understanding English well and translating English accurately into another language, then please consider supporting WEC language translation.

Getting Started

Getting started is pretty easy.  Just go to the Language Translation Forum. There, we post text that needs to be translated as well as previous translations that you may be able to improve. Just reply to a forum post to provide your inputs. Please feel free to ask questions there too or to suggest improvements/corrections to previous translations. If someone translates ahead of you, please review their translation and comment on it even if you have no suggested changes. Also, always be sure to tell us what language you are translating into so we don't get mixed up.

To simplify notification of new translation requests, we suggest that you subscribe to the forum via e-mail. To do this, go to the forum and click on "Profile" then under "Edit Your Profile" check the box next to "Language Translation." Click the "Submit" button at the bottom to make the change. After this, you will get an e-mail for every post to that forum. This will notify you of changes. Unfortunately, you will receive other unrelated translator postings as well. You will just need to ignore or delete those.
