Move a Page
Although there are many ways to move a page from one location to another in the Page Tree, this How-To demonstrates one of the most basic methods for doing so.
In this example, we will move the Missions' page to between Adults and Youth.
- For the purpose of learning, look at the Frontend navigation to see the order of the pages in the menu.
- Return to the Backend.
- Begin by clicking on the icon of the page you want to move.
- Scroll down the pop-up list and click on Cut. When you do, the selection will be copied onto the "Clipboard."
- Next, click on the page icon that is ABOVE the location where you'd like to Paste the page.
In this example, we will click on the Adult page icon. - Scroll down the pop-up menu and click either "Paste into" (if you would like Missions to be a subpage of Adults) or "Paste After" (if you would like the Missions page to immediately follow Adults).
- In this case, we will select "Page after."
- Click Okay to complete the transfer.
- The page will be moved from the Clipboard and pasted to its new location.
- To view the results in the Fronted, begin by clearing the Page Content Cache and then go the Frontend and refresh your browser.
- View the navigation menu to see that the page has moved.
- To view additional Move Page options, see the Advanced Move Page how to.
