Move a Page

Although there are many ways to move a page from one location to another in the Page Tree, this How-To demonstrates one of the most basic methods for doing so.

In this example, we will move the Missions' page to between Adults and Youth.

  1. For the purpose of learning, look at the Frontend navigation to see the order of the pages in the menu.
  2. Return to the Backend.
  3. Begin by clicking on the icon of the page you want to move.
  4. Scroll down the pop-up list and click on Cut. When you do, the selection will be copied onto the "Clipboard."
  5. Next, click on the page icon that is ABOVE the location where you'd like to Paste the page.
In this example, we will click on the Adult page icon.
  6. Scroll down the pop-up menu and click either "Paste into" (if you would like Missions to be a subpage of  Adults) or "Paste After" (if you would like the Missions page to immediately follow Adults).
  7. In this case, we will select "Page after."
  8. Click Okay to complete the transfer.
  9. The page will be moved from the Clipboard and pasted to its new location.
  10. To view the results in the Fronted, begin by clearing the Page Content Cache and then go the Frontend and refresh your browser.
  11. View the navigation menu to see that the page has moved.
  12. To view additional Move Page options, see the Advanced Move Page how to.
