Remove an Extension

1. If you want to remove an extension, begin by clicking on the Extension Manager Module.
2. Scroll through the extensions until you find the one you want to remove. For this example, we will remove Guestbook.
3. When you find the extension, click on the Remove Extension icon to the left of the extension's title.
4. Click the Update button once to remove unused tables from the TYPO3 site database.
   
   When you've completed this step, the extension has been removed.
   
   However, the extension is still resident on your server just in case you want to reinstall it.
   
   NOTE: To reinstall an inactive extension, click on the Extension Manager Module and select Install Extensions from the Menu drop-down menu.
5. If you want to remove the extension completely from your server, the following steps will walk you through the process.
6. First, select Backup/Delete from the top-left drop-down menu.
7. Click on the DELETE EXTENSION FROM SERVER link.
8. This will remove the extension and all its files from your server.
