Restore a Non-Used Element

Sometimes you will want to restore a Content Element that you previously deleted from a page. In most cases, these Content Elements are stored behind the Non-used elements tab and can be easily restored.

In our example, the Content Element containing the link to Genesis 1:1 was deleted and we want to restore it.

  1. To restore the Content Element, use the Page Module and navigate to the page the Content Element had been on.
  2. Next, click on the Non-used elements tab at the top of the content window.
  3. Next, click on the Reference icon to the left of the Content Element you wish to restore.

Notice the Paste Icons that are present within content area (the clipboard with green arrow icons). You can paste the Content Element anywhere one of these icons is present, including on other pages throughout the website.
  4. The Content Element is moved from the Non-used elements tab and placed in the selected location. You can look at the Frontend to see the results.
  5. You can click on the Non-used elements tab to close the tab and continue working in the TYPO3 Backend.
