Select Add-On Features
If you are using the WEC Starter Package, you have the option to subtract and add features using the WEC Configuration Module.
- Begin by clicking WEC Config Module.
- Select Manage Add-On Features from the dropdown menu on the far left.
- Open up another browser window or tab to look at the front page of your website. Then navigate to the blog page.
- This is the blog feature and page that will be removed from the website.
- Return to the TYPO3 Backend.
- When the WEC Start-Up Package is first installed, all the Add-On Features are installed by default. To remove a feature, simply click the Uninstall button associated with the Feature.
- Uninistall the blog feature.
The blog feature and page are now removed. However, the feature you've removed has not been uninstalled; instead, the page and the feature have simply been hidden. This means that the feature/page will not appear in your Fronted display. It can be restored (unhidden) any time in the future. - Go to your website again and verify that the feature/page has been removed.
Notice that the Blog page is gone. - Return to the TYPO3 Backend.
- Scroll down and uninstall the Members Only Section.
- Notice that the feature has not actually been uninstalled; instead, the page and the feature have simply been hidden. This means that the feature/page will not appear in your Frontend display.
- If you would like to reinstall a feature, scroll down the page and click the Install button associated with the feature.
- The changes you make will be available on your website immediately.
