Understand the TYPO3 Backend Page Tree

The Page Tree organizes the entire website pages and records into a hierarchical structure similar to an outline or a directory tree.

1. From the Backend, click Page at the left and then click on a page title.
2. there is a Page Tree Menu that isn't visible in this display. To use the Page Tree Menu, click on the Page icon to the left of the Page link. A drop-down menu will appear.
3. There is also a sub-menu with additional options. Click More Options to view these.
4. The Menu Options (Module List) at the left and the Page Tree are like a directory where you keep files. It works like many directories. Click on the inverted pyramid icon to collapse the directory and the right-pointing triangle icon to expand  it.
5. As you work, feel free to expand and contract portions of the Menu Options and the Page Tree to make it easier to find the items you are currently working on.
