Using the KB Unpack Extension for TYPO3 (One-Step):
On your hard drive, or wherever you have your template files stored, make sure that your files are organized so that your images are in a folder called “images”, and your template html file and css styles file are outside of that. Compress the files into a zipped format.
To upload your zipped files, click on folder icon next to your specific template folder (for instance the one we named “template1” before).
Select “Upload Files” from the popup menu.
In the far-right column, the upload screen will appear.
Click the “Browse” button to the right of the text boxes that appear and select your zipped file.
Click the “Upload File” button at the bottom of the upload area.
When the file is done uploading, click on its icon and select “Unpack” from the pop-up menu. Your zipped files will be uncompressed and listed on the screen.
Click the “back” link to return to your template folder.
Using FTP:
On your hard drive, or wherever you have your template files stored, make sure that your files are organized so that your images are in a folder called “images”, and your template html file and css styles file are outside of that.
To upload your files, connect to your TYPO3 website using an FTP program of your choice. If using the WEC Common Configuration, be sure to upload your files to www.yourdomain.com/fileadmin/tv-templates/templatefoldername.
Using the Standard TYPO3 Upload Tool (Several Steps):
For organization’s sake, create a new folder within the specific template folder called “images”.
To upload the files, click on the folder icon next to your specific template folder (for instance the one we named “template1” above).
Select “Upload Files” from the popup menu.
In the far-right column, the upload screen will appear.
Select from the drop-down how many files you wish to upload. Usually this number will be two – the html template and the CSS file. Occasionally there will be a script file or extra CSS stylesheet to upload as well.
Click the “Browse” button to the right of the text boxes that appear for each file you plan to upload.
When you have selected all your files (10 max) click the “Upload Files” button at the bottom of the upload area.
Now, to upload your images click on the title of your specific template folder in the page tree of the middle column (the text, not the icon).
In the far-right column you should see the “images” folder you created in the previous section.
Click on the folder icon of the images folder and select “Upload Files” from the popup menu.
When the upload screen appears on the right, select from the drop-down how many images you will be uploading. (You can always upload more in a different batch if you have more than 10 files.)
Repeat steps 6 & 7 above to upload your files.
