Vine Hosting is Now Hosting with WEC

One Name -- One Mission -- Web-Empowered Church

For the past few years, "Vine Hosting" was the name we used for hosting and related services we have provided to help web-empower Christian churches and Christian organizations around the world. This name caused some confusion as people tried to understand the different names and assumed we were two separate organizations. In an effort to reduce confusion and to help us focus specifically on our mission to web empower the Church, we are now using only the "Web-Empowered Church" name for this ministry. 

Attention Vine Hosting Customers: Only the name has changed. Your website will remain in the same location on the same computers, and supported by the same dedicated team. As we transition to one name we may slip and call it "Vine" or you may see references to "Vine" online or elsewhere, but it is all "WEC" now. And as before, we are blessed to serve your ministry with powerful and free WEC software, free online documentation and free online support as well as offering additional hosting and related services to help you accomplish your online ministry goals.

Changes from Level-Based Plans: The previous hosting plans were numbered levels -- Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, etc. The new plans are named mostly as metals.

  • Vine Hosting Level 1 became WEC Bronze
  • Vine Hosting Level 2 became WEC Silver
  • Vine Hosting Level 3 will continue for current Level 3 customers, but there is no replacement plan.
