I have been trying to use CPanel to set up a redirect. We used Google Sites to set up a page for folks to find info on our summer kids camp, register and pay. We've done it before where http://www.ourdomain.com/easter would send folks to an external site, but am baffled on how to do it again. It's been a few years. I have set up a "Link to an external URL" page on the page tree in the backend and have set it up properly (the same exact way the other redirect is set up). I then went to cpanel and set up the redirect the same way I did the other one. After all that, when i type in http://www.ourdomain.com/kidscamp it sends me to the "Page Not Found" page of our website. I tried setting it as a 301 and then as a 302 redirect, but neither did any good. What could I be configuring incorrectly? It seems like it would be pretty straight forward, especially when using the CPanel redirect function. |
