Permissions!!! Our Content Editors have permission to create and manage pages and content in their particular ministries. I want to give them permission to enable or disable page permission for Frontend user groups, something I can do as an Admin.
Under the Access tab when editing a page, I see Frontend usergroups in both "Selected" and in "Items" but they see nothing in "Selected" and only "__Usergroups__" with no usergroups shown in "Items".
How can I get this set up so they can see what I see?
Grace & peace,
Don

I'd check their group level permissions and see if they have the option to view those groups in the first place. That's the most likely scenario. There's a section on this site under Classes or Help & Tutorials about managing permissions in TYPO3 to give you a starting point.

Thanks for your input, Peter.
I reviewed the information to which you referred but, as far as I could find, it referred to a frontend viewer being allowed or restricted from viewing selected pages.
These folks are members of the appropriate Frontend groups, can view from the frontend any pages restricted to those groups, can view, edit these same pages from the Backend. However, from the backend, they cannot see any Access information on the Access tab. Further, if they make a page change, then save it, it saves without being restricted anymore. Generally, they make content changes which is not a problem. However, if they create a new page, they cannot restrict it. Any page they save is saved without restrictions.
I'm sure I am just missing something obvious (to all but me) but it is an issue I'd like to solve.
Grace & peace,
Don

I'd have to do some more digging, but it sounds like one of the fields for page/content editing isn't being granted to those users/roles/groups. I think it would be the "Access" permission on content/pages, but I'll admit that I'm not necessarily the best one to answer this question. I'll see if I can give it a look later today/soon and figure something out.
