Hello everyone, Since yesterday I'm tinkering around with Typo3 and the WEC package, so far I've figured a few things out I think and it's working fine. I'm having a problem with the Bible verse of the day though. I acquired an api key, filled it in under admin tools-->wec ebible admin and since then am trying to add the VOTD to a page. I've configured it as follows: General: insert plugin, language: default, columns:normal Plugin: WEC ebible verse of the day Access: (didn't do any input there) When I load our page, it's connecting to ebible, but when it's finished, it doesn't show anything. So I gave the element a header, just to see if that one shows, and it does show at the bottom of the page, but that's it. I'd be very happy if someone could give me advice about what I am doing wrong. Thank you very much in advance. Heike, When I go to ibc-bremen.de/cms/ I see the verse of the day at the bottom. If you have not changed anything then my guess is that the eBible server happened to have some technical problems during the time that you first tried this. In Him, Mark |

Thank you for your response, Mark. No, I have not changed anything. Still does not show on my screen, neither in firefox nor IE, just tried after reading your reply. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Heike, Interesting, I see: Bible Verse of the Day November 27 - eBible.com Verse of the day Matthew 6:10 study 10your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. NIV from eBible.com on your web page. This feature depends on some local Javascript that goes out to the eBible website and gets this verse. So it depends on both your browser running Javascript and a connection from your browser to the eBible server. I tried it in IE6, Firefox, and Safari and your page shows the verse for me. So I don't think the issue is the browser type. The issue may be related to your local javascript or I suppose that eBible could be blocking you or there is some other thing with being from Europe. Mark, I tried that, right now it's timing out on me, but yesterday it worked, that's how I got the API key, registered and all. I do remember though, it took a looooooooooooooong time to load for the page. Oh well, I think I'll just live with it for now and keep tinkering around with some other stuff. There is soooooo much for me to discover. Am sure, I will keep popping in with a zillion other questions.  Thank you so much for all the work you do. Blessings, Heike |
