I am in the process to add Smoothgallery to other pages in my site tree. 1. I copied the Smoothgallery item to my page and changed the directory path of my pictures for THIS page. (got an error, that the TS is missing) 2. inspected the Template / Photos - Edit the whole template record and added: General: Template title: +ext Setup: # Include CSS for Calendar Base page.includeCSS.wec_styles_rgsmoothgallery = EXT:wec_styles/extensions/rg_smoothgallery/styles.css Options: (all empty) Includes: Include static (from extentions): SmoothGallery (rgsmoothgallery) Static template files from T3 Estentsions: Default (Include before if Root-flag is set) Resources: (all empty) Access: (all empty) Cleared all caches! When I try to open this page, I get: (in Chrome (Firefox What am I missing? bye Ronald |

I re-activated the demo Photo tab in Community and this is working in any browser. There must be therefore a difference between what I have done with my pages and this one. I cannot see it. Can anybody give me a hint what I am looking for? bye Ronald |

Ronald, Why not simply add SmoothGallery as a plug-in to the page? I am sure it will work! Can you post a link to your site with the page making you problems? Hans |

The "magic" on that is, that if the admin is logged in, and looks at the page in the same browser, the pages ARE shown with pictures!!!! |

The "magic" on that is, that if the admin is logged in, and looks at the page in the same browser, the pages ARE shown with pictures!!!! I found something now: The pictures I got were very big (2560x1920). When I reduced them to 700x525 AND uploaded again AND created a new page (old page did NOT work anymore), then it is working. That was with 17 pictures. The second picture directory has 37 pictures and there the trick to reduce to 700x525 did not work. I guess, that it cannot have more than 3 MB on pictures (as the first directory), ... |

Hey Ronald, Glad to hear you got it figured out! My guess is that the server is timing out or hitting some other limits when trying to resize a bunch of large photos at one time. As you found, the best solution is to take them down to a more reasonable size from the start. Thanks, Jeff |

Thanks, Jeff Jeff, as much I would love to believe it, I am not convienced that the admin CAN see all pictures, just not the user. So if I am logged in as admin and in the same browser I look at the web site, it works. As soon I am logged out, the same browser does not show me the page anymore! I thought that the resizing of the pictures is only done once and is then for each user available. I also found some other strange thing. The pictures on my project are overlapping, meaning different travel tours have some destinations. So I made a page with ONLY the pictures of this one destination and link from the tour page to these photo pages. Here it also works for each user. bye Ronald |
