The sermon extension is randomly renaming my MP3 files that I have setup for download. Here is what I do:

1. Upload a MP3 to a folder in FileAdmin.
2. Add a new SMS resource as type "Downloadable File" and choose the file I want from the FileAdmin folder.
3. I then save & close the SMS Resource record
4. If I immediately open up the SMS Resource record again, the filename has changed to something else - which is confusing as I have the date as part of the file name. If you go to download the file, is uses this incorrect name.

Attached Picture show the before & after Save & Close on the SMS Resource record with the filename correct, then incorrect.

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<bugreport@webempoweredchurch.org>:

Giving up on 98.100.0.129.

Hey Bob,
Sorry about the broken email address. In the busyness of launching the new site, that account didn't get created but it should be working now. Thanks for letting us know.

As far as the files getting renamed, this is standard TYPO3 behavior. When you upload files or select them from fileadmin, they're actually copied into uploads folder. If a file with the same name already exists in this folder, you get the _01 appended on the end.

TYPO3 does this copying to ensure that the files aren't accidentally changed by someone not realizing that there are sermon records referencing them.

Hope that helps explain it icon_smile.gif
