For the TV skins, it seems that certain directory structures and TS are different from the original BusyNoggin Framework. I have no concerns or problems with this, but I want to learn from the decisions to adapt that and reconfigure it. How did that benefit the WEC team?

I guess my reason for asking is that I'd prefer to use a baseline distribution for all my TYPO3 work, and I see benefits to both WEC and BusyNoggin. What did WEC see that the config needed tweaked?

Thanks icon_smile.gif

Hey John,
The differences between the WEC Starter Package and Busy Noggin Framework basically come down to personal preference and target audience. The WEC Starter Package is focused on churches who don't have previous exposure to TYPO3 and want to get something running as quickly as possible. Generally speaking, there's not as much customization involved so we push farther into automatic configuration, more automatic updates, and include more things by default. The Busy Noggin Framework is more focused on being a starting point for custom development for a single client, so its leaner and less opinionated than the WEC Starter Package.

If there are an specific parts you're wondering about, I'll be happy to give you our logic but that's the overall reason for differences. Ron Hall (Busy Noggin) and I work closely together so there's a lot of overlap in how we approach things but there are always a few differences too icon_smile.gif

Thanks,
