(I can not use the pid) The specific address (from many) is to be read from the tt_address database based on an ID. can you suggest me a suitable typoccript here? regards

Hi, on our website we are using mainly the event list view. In order to get this list more structured, I want to visualize category info within this event list. For example: different event-background-colour per category. Is there a possibility to determinate the phpicalendarEventTemplate per category or is there another way to solve our wish? Kind regards Bernd I have solved it on my own. I simply use the marker ###headerstyle### in the template. I will be replaced by the headerstyle of the assigned category.

I have added a couple of news items under News in the News & Events tab using News Admin and News Storage Folder. The first post fit in four (4) lines along with a photo. The most recent post is much longer. It also showed the four lines, but not a complete fourth line. When I click on the "Read more" under the longer post it goes to a blank page. Is there a way to get long posts to show in News or are four lines the max? Retiredmac Hi there is the posibility to define the numbers of words. See: http://typo3.org/extension-manuals/tt_news/3.2.1/view/1/4/ and search for maxWordsInSingleView Greetings Tobias thanks for your response. I used the web link but when I got there the Search did not work. So I scrolled down the page until I found what I was to search for. My question now is where do I set the work count? I see the "No automatic page breaks for this record" under the text box for the news item. It is currently unchecked. What is my next move? Thanks. Retiredmac

We've been having problems across multiple pcs that have just started running Windows 7 and are using IE9 as the browser for editing. When we click the pencil icon to edit the page element, the green bar simply flashes but will not open for editing. We also have tried the left side of the element to edit through the splashdown menu, but that only works intermittently. I had not been experiencing this issue until last week. Has anyone else seen this problem, and have you found a solution? Thanks, Stephani ssatterfield@cfumcga.com cfumcga.com

Hi Nick, I guess you should insert the static templates. Go to the root template (default template?), register "Includes". Add both static templates (from extentions): - Classic CSS-based template (cal) - Classic CSS styles (cal) Tobias Uh...how do I do that? I looked for "Includes" in Template>Site Root page>All 4 options and didn't find anything. I may seem lazy, but I am sick and tired of dealing with WEC bugs and issues and am ready to just build a site from scratch instead of using ANY CMS. See attach: Here find you the root template and follow the instrucctions above!

I have a fresh test installation of wec_discussion 2.1.1 on my own computer, which works OK. On my remote site I am testing the same thing, but no email alerts are going out. The email test feature in the Install Tool on that site works OK and it has other forms from which email alerts are continuing to go out as before, so there must be something not right with wec_discussion, but I have no idea where to look. Any thoughts where I might start?

If Bill is no longer active in the WEC Forum, is there anyone else from the WEC team tasked with answering posts?
I've got the same problem. WEC-Check: -= PHP Scripting Test =- OS Linux Passed Version 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.9	Passed Server API cgi-fcgi Passed Max Execution Time	30 Passed Memory Limit 128M Passed Max Upload Filesize	32M Warning Max upload file size (32M) is larger than allowed POST data (16M). This is okay, but the upload filesize will be limited to 16M. Consider raising post_max_size to at least 32M to take advantage of larger file uploads. This can be set in the php.ini configuration file if you can access it, or ask your hosting company to do so.
Hi Folks and WEC skins - Framework for TemplaVoila skins - T3Pack skins - Mach8 skins - Fedext skins Enthusiasts. The Global TYPO3 Template Repository needs you and your templates :-)! Easy customer management and themes within TYPO3 This page is about making websites with many customers. Have a look here: http://themes.kay-strobach.de This is the first start for a (hopefully later intergrated) TYPO3 Template Repository, which is very flexible to host Templates for different kind of Template Engines. Those are the once based on the Framework for TemplaVoila developed by Ron Hall and its WEC Templates or those from DT3 or T3Pack. Furthermore you find there also Templates for the Mach8 Framework which is an very improved Framework for TemplaVoila with lots of additional features like different "Master Pages" where you can configure your header, footer, topnav and bottomnav etc. and last not least you will find future proof Templates made in Extbase Fluid in this repository. more Info about Templates and Templates Engines mentioned you will find here: Framework for TemplaVoila: http://templavoila.busynoggin.com by Ron Hall March8: http://namasted.com by Juan Manuel (Documentation will come soon) Extbase Fluid: http://fedext.net by Claus Due ----- Now it would be great if those of you who have developed own templates for one of the mentioned Template Frameworks could donate them to build up a global repository with hundreds of Templates. Submit your templates: http://themes.kay-strobach.de/themedirectory/submit-theme/

Hello. I'm running the server check script and I'm getting the following: "Symlinks couldn't be created even though you are not using Windows. Please check the permissions on the folder this script is installed in and make sure it is allowed to write to it. Please be sure to use the zip package to install TYPO3." I uploaded the script to Hostgator and ran it from the root folder. I also tried to run it from a subfolder and got the same results. Tech Support at Hostgator says that I should check with the developer of the script. Has anyone had this problem? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everybody. I tested "wec_map 2.4" at a typo3-installation v4.6. everything worked great. I also install the extension at my other typo3-project (v4.5.10). Install tt_address Install wec_map Add the static templates (wec_maps and tt_address) Insert my google-API-code Enable geocoding status (extensions > wec_map > settings) Insert some real test-addresses Insert a new Content Element Plugin > "wec_database_.." (pi3) And see .. nothing. "There doesn't seem to be anything to display. Make sure the map is configured correctly and there are users or markers set. " I see, that there´s no geodata in the table "tx_wec_cache". I insert the geodata manually and I see the map with the marker. why doesn't work my geocoding? I tried several API-codes (mydomain.com, www.mydomain.com, ..) At my Typo3 4.6-project everything works great, bit not at my 4.5.10 multilingual Website? I´ve no idea? ////////////////////// EDIT //// My second Site is a multilingual site. I tried to insert both API-Keys, but it Won´t work. www.mydomain.de and www.mydomain.com

Hoping someone can help. currently on our website we embed the sermons into the page. Here's an exmaple: http://pumchurch.org/learn-grow/sermons/ There are 2 things I'd like to be able to do and I'm a novice at typoscript: 1. Also make the file downloadable so users can play it as a podcast on their mp3 player. 2. make the embedded audio open in a new window. can you provide any direction? Thanks! Dave

"notfound" errors after template -> skin upgrade

I posted this issue as a support ticket today and here is the response from Bill Tenny-Brittian: I had the skin guys take a look and they relayed that the issues will be resolved with the next release, but that it isn't an issue of concern and the errors should just be ignored for now. So, two follow-ups for Bill: Does this apply to every site that has undergone the "old templates to new skins" upgrade by WEC? In that our skin files are not in the server-wide location, but rather saved in "fileadmin/templates" for local customization, will the eventual (automatic?) installation of the next release also resolve any possible issues with that localized copy? Thanks, David T
