Sermon Management System Extension

The Sermon Management System plugin allows you to put your sermons online. Add audio MP3s, videos, bulletins, or other materials. Please go through the tutorials here to learn how to better use this tool. Use the dropdown menu or click on the arrow to go to the next tutorial.

Add a Sermon Record to the Sermon Management Extension

  1. To create a Sermon record, begin by clicking on the List Module and then opening the Sermon Storage folder.
  2. Scroll down to the SMS Sermons table and click on the New Record icon.
  3. There are a number of fields available in the SMS Sermon record form. Begin by entering the sermon's title. You can add a subtitle if you'd like. Then either enter the Occurance Date or click on the calendar icon to choose the date the sermon was delivered.
  4. Next, enter the Scripture Reference/s (separate multiple texts with commas) and then give the sermon a description.
  5. There are a variety of records that can be added to each Sermon record. You can create these on the fly by clicking on the Create New icons.
  6. Resources can include text files, audio files, video connections, bulletins, etc.
  7. We will create a new Sermon Speaker. Click on the Create new Sermon Speaker icon and complete the information as desired.
  8. You can add a Sermon Series or Related Topic similarly to the way we added a Sermon Speaker.
  9. You can add a graphic that depicts the sermon if you'd like in the Graphic field. Be sure to give it an Alt/Title Text.
  10. You can add keywords to the Sermon record to make searching easier.
  11. Be sure to save your work. To see the results in the Frontend, click on the Sermon page's icon and select Show from the Contextual menu.
