Overview
The WEC eBible extension accesses tools graciously provided by eBible.com that makes it easy for your Frontend users to view scripture verses within the context of your site. The extension works in two different configurations.
- When installed, the eBible provides Frontend users with a dynamic Verse of the Day and links to study tools on the eBible.com website.
- When configured to do so, the eBible will also parse (find) all Bible references on a website and display the verse/s for the Frontend user in a variety of formats.
Scripture References Example
The WEC eBible Scripture Parsing will look at all the text on your site and try to locate any references to Bible verses. If it does find a reference, it will be turned into a link that contains the actual text of the verses.
You can use TYPO3 content elements just as you normally would and it will find your Scripture references, such as John 3:16 and Phil 4:13.
Examples
User Preferences for Translation
By using the selector below, a registered frontend user or anonymous visitor to the site can select their preferred translation. This translation will be remembered in future visits to the site as well.
Choose a translation and both the Verse of the Day and Scripture references will be updated.
